Stroke Recovery
Journey
An 80-year-old patient had a stroke 5 years ago, resulting in right-side numbness and weakness. Despite many efforts to rehabilitate, had limited progress. However, in a matter of days with our proprietary treatment, the patient regained all lost functions.
Our Unique Acupuncture System

Instant Improvement
Our century-old secret recipe, combined with other leading acupuncture systems, delivers results quickly - the majority of patients see improvement after just one session.

Sustained Improvement
Our unique approach ensures a long lasting, ever improving outcome for patients as treatment progresses. Few other clinics can make this claim.

No Harmful Medication
100% natural therapy with no toxic chemicals involved.
See the Difference After One Session
This patient had a stroke about 21 months ago prior to receiving treatment at our clinic. The stroke affected his balance and his ability to walk, and caused the right side to feel numb. Our treatment produced instant improvement after each session.
This patient had a stroke after receiving the COVID vaccine in March 2022. He was treated four times in March 2024. The fourth treatment was performed about three weeks after the third one (gaps in treatment also affect the outcome)
From total care to unassisted living, this video shows how our proprietary acupuncture system transformed the life of a stroke patient.
Comparison with Conventional Medicine

Bedridden Rate
Up to 30% of stroke patients are bedridden; we can reduce this to 2%-5%.

Duration of Illness
After 1.5 years, the damage caused by a stroke is typically irreversible (in the opinion of Western medicine); our treatment remains highly effective even for patients 3-5 years post-stroke and shows benefits for patients more than 10 years post-stroke.

Recovery Rate
Only 5%-10% of patients can fully recover; we can increase this to 50%-60%.
Acupuncture for Stroke Recovery
The theory of traditional Chinese medicine relating to stroke patients is that there is a disruption of energy flow in the brain. If the flow of energy is restored with acupuncture, the related brain tissue and its functions would restore also. This is the principle of treating diseases related to the central nervous system. Our proprietary system incorporates several unique methods, making it far more effective than any one system alone.

Expertise in Stroke Rehabilitation
We have inherited expertise in rehabilitation of stroke patients, enabling them to regain mobility and other essential functions, such as speech and the ability to swallow properly.

Proprietary Acupuncture Therapy
Our century-old family tradition, combined with other leading acupuncture systems, produces stunning results -- the majority of patients see substantial improvement after just one session of treatment, and the improvement continues to develop with more treatment sessions.

Dozens of Successful Recoveries
We’ve helped many patients achieve remarkable recoveries through our unique approach.

-
What are the commonly seen factors affecting a patient's health? / Why can't we predict a patient's future condition? From our practice we identified the following most significant factors affecting a patient's health: medication from your family doctor or specialist acupuncture or Chinese medicine treatment other kinds of therapy, including chiropractic, massage, physiotherapy, ayurvedic medicine, osteopathy, ... nutritional supplements, drugs ... your food and lifestyle biological rhythm as it relates to time (year, month, day, hour) periods and pregnancy for women significant emotional problems any existing serious medical problems All of the above factors affect a patient's condition. The combined result is what we see with patient's change in their conditions. This also explains why it's difficult to predict the future condition of a patient, as all of the above is a variable that contributes to the outcome.
-
Is there a guarantee for your services? No, unfortunately that is not something we can guarantee, as everyone’s condition is different. But we do expect good results for most patients, and we strive to do this for everyone.
-
Do you provide infertility treatment, for both male and female?Yes, we do.
-
How many sessions of treatment would I need for my condition? The length of treatment depends on your own condition, which may be different from others. One way to estimate the length of treatment needed is to look at your progress after a session of treatment, to essentially extrapolate from your current progress. There are however a number of factors that could affect your progress, which we will elaborate in reply to another related question.
-
How many sessions are needed for my condition? It depends on the severity of your condition. The best way to make a prediction is to extrapolate from progress made already.
-
My previous acupuncturist placed a number of needles near where I had pain, do you do the same? That style is typical of entry level expertise. The original Chinese acupuncture system utilizes the energy flow in the body to treat different symptoms, usually that is away from the site of the problems. Also if you do it right, you do not need to use many needles, one or a couple should be sufficient, but you get far better results. The modern school of acupuncture treatment is an extension of the thoughts from electro-physiology, rather than from ancient Chinese philosophy, with mostly Taoist thoughts. That is why not only the methods are drastically different, but also the results.
-
What conditions can acupuncture be used to treat?Acupuncture is an independent branch of medicine that can be used to treat essentially all medical conditions, ranging from cold to cancer; it is not just limited to treating pain symptoms, that is an entry level understanding of the practice.
-
Any precautions after the treatment? No food or drinks within one hour after the treatment, if possible. No spicy food or alcohol before your next session.
-
How about before treatment, any preparation needed?Best not to eat or drink too much before the appointment.
-
How does the treatment work?To make it easy to understand, the human body has a number of channels for energy flow. When these channels are blocked, there are symptoms of disease, such as pain, infection, or dysfunctions of various kinds. On the other hand, if you restore the flow of energy, the symptoms go away. The goal of acupuncture treatment is to unblock the energy flow by stimulating the body with needles.
-
How long does a session of treatment last?It is recommended to leave the needles in for 30 minutes to achieve good results. Usually the longer you leave them in the better.
-
I'm really scared of needles, can I still get acupuncture treatment?Depending on your conditions, we may be able to work around this issue and not use needles. That's determined on a case-by-case basis.
-
Are there any risks with acupuncture treatment? There could be minor bleeding/bruising, which is rare. Some patients experience pain, but it does not last a long time, it should be gone in a few hours. In cases where patients are extremely nervous, they may experience light-headedness, known as "needle fainting", which happens to probably 1% of patients.
-
Is it painful? It is just like a mosquito bite. In fact, even 6-year-olds can take them, so there is not much to worry. Unlike others, we use minimal number of needles to achieve the same results whenever possible, so there is less pain for treatment compared to at other places.
-
How soon should we expect to see a change? If you do it right, for pain symptoms, you may see changes in a matter of minutes, or less, unless it is an extreme condition.
-
How often should I get treated? For minor issues, once every other day would be good. If you experience serious problems, best to have treatment done daily. If you wait for a long time in between sessions, some improvement could fade away, unless of course after a session of treatment all your problems got resolved.
-
How long does the effect of the treatment last?If you problems is corrected in one session, which does happen often here, you do not need to worry, unless you have another episode of the same occurrence that caused your problems in the first place. Depending on how your problem started in the first place, we have different expectations of the situation. If it is the result of an accident, when you symptoms go away, unless you have another accident, you should be fine; however if your problem is related to your diet or lifestyle, unless you have the root corrected also, likely eventually the problem will come back. We do assist our patients to overcome these problems also.
